Enter variable cost per order, a target contribution margin, monthly fixed costs, and an optional reference price. The tool compares cost-based scenarios and break-even order counts; it does not predict demand or recommend an optimal price. No signup required.
Check what each order leaves after variable costs, then compare the sales volume needed to cover monthly fixed costs. No email required.
Use your own costs and a proposed selling price. These are planning scenarios, not predictions of demand or an optimal price.
Variable costs: include the product, packaging, delivery, payment fees, returns, and any per-order acquisition cost you expect. Update percentage-based fees for the price you are testing.
Fixed costs: monthly software, rent, and other costs that do not change with each order. Contribution is not net profit; taxes and any costs you leave out are not calculated.
Price = variable cost / (1 - target margin / 100). Break-even orders = monthly fixed costs / contribution per order, rounded up. A price at or below variable cost cannot cover positive fixed costs.
Zero variable cost does not determine a unique paid price. Your buyers still need to be willing to pay. Recalculate after changing an input.
Worked example, not a customer result: $8 per order, a 50% margin, and $200 monthly fixed costs give a $16 price and 25 break-even orders. A $20 reference price gives $12 contribution and 17 orders.
